We continue to celebrate the Easter season, this fifty-day celebration of the Risen Lord’s victory over the grave. It stretches from Easter Sunday to Pentecost Sunday, when we mark the day when the Holy Spirit came down upon the first apostles. At the Last Supper Jesus told his disciples that he and the Father would make their dwelling with them and send the Holy Spirit to remind them of everything he taught them. Let us rejoice this Easter season for God’s abiding presence with us.
Next weekend we welcome Fr. Sebastien Shinto for Mission Appeals. Please consult the parish bulletin.
Our Youth Ministry is preparing for World Youth Day in Portugal next year. Youth, parents, and volunteers are actively preparing spiritually (retreats, talks, etc.) and to collect money for this great traditional World Youth Event initiated by St. Pope John Paul II and followed by all his successors. Any donations would be greatly appreciated (as a check to the parish with WYD written in the memo). We opened a special account.
