St. James Bible Study: Wisdom
Begins May 29th or May 30th!
Scripture and the Tradition of the Catholic Church provide an abundance of wisdom, though it can often be challenging to apply it to our lives. Through the wisdom literature of the Bible—Proverbs, Wisdom, Sirach, and Ecclesiastes—God shows us how to walk in his vision for our happiness and well-being, as he created us to do.
To help you learn to gather and live with greater wisdom, St. James will begin an 8-week summer Bible study, Wisdom: God’s Vision for Life,
- on Tuesday, May 29th at 6:30pm for the evening session
- OR Wednesday May 30th at 9am for the morning session in the Parish Hall.
(No session the week of July 4th.) For a $25 fee, participants of Wisdom will receive a journal, and will meet every week to view an engaging video presentation followed by a time of group discussion and fellowship. The eight 30-minute videos, presented by Jeff Cavins, will explain Scripture’s wisdom on decision-making, finances, relationships, peace of mind, and communication.
Concerned about summer travel plans? No worries! The videos will be available to you online so you can keep up with the study as you travel.
For more information or to register, contact Pamela Smith at psmith@stjames-stleo.org. You will not only benefit personally from being part of this study; you will also help us to grow in fellowship as a parish as we grow closer to Christ together.
