We had our first (of four) 1st Communion celebrations last weekend. The children made banners to represent what they learned about the Eucharist. During the homily, Fr. Gerard asked a few children what they put on their banners:
- “I put a cross because that’s where Jesus died and did his great sacrifice.” Ryan
- “I put a heart because Jesus loves us.” Cason
- “The grapes make the wine which is Jesus’ Blood, and the bread is Jesus’ Body.” Samantha
