A Note from the Pastor – Aug 1

The Gospel outlines a financial conflict between brothers. While we seek transparent management, it’s essential to avoid sibling rivalry. Instead, we should promote respect and foster relationships that extend beyond mere financial concerns.

Jesus is not the financial police, but he wants to safeguard the hearts of those who own money through a parable.

The parable he presents showcases a prosperous harvest and numerous ambitions, yet the story’s backdrop reveals a relational void.

The wealthy man, though he appears successful, is isolated, trapped within the walls of his self, consumed by the pursuit of accumulation.

His conversation is a soliloquy using a single word: “mine.” Everything is about his crops, his stores, his possessions, his life, and his soul; inner conversation trying to convince himself he is complete, which gives a hint that he has no God.

Look up; you are not alone; your God is longing for you.
