Catholics believe the Eucharist, or Communion, is both a sacrifice and a meal. We believe in the real presence of Jesus, who died for our sins. As we receive Christ’s Body and Blood, we also are nourished spiritually and brought closer to God.
“First Communion (and First Reconciliation) are typically celebrated in 2nd grade, however children in grades 3rd through 8th who have not received their first sacraments are also welcomed. Children needing first sacraments are registered through our Faith Formation for Children program.”
