Our unhoused neighbors need your support more than ever. Local homeless have experienced delays and difficulties in obtaining housing. Your support provides lifesaving assistance they need with missions like The Cottage Project.
St. James Mission Circle is happy to announce that we will construct our first sleeping cottage in February 2022. Our planned construction Saturdays are February 12th and 19th. These cottages provide an interim step toward permanent housing, with wrap-around social services to support their journey. The Cottage Project will help individuals integrate into U.S. life with a chance to develop self-reliance, stability, a place to call home that isn’t a tent, and a chance to start life here, perhaps to positively influence future generations.
We are asking for volunteers to help with construction, painting, and decorating. In addition, you can help out on the “food” team. Any level of skill will be put to good use. (Contact: dale.burchby@gmail.com)
We also need donations of furnishings or funds as well.
