A young couple started their marriage in first-century Galilee; Mary, the bride, was living in Nazareth. Joseph, who didn’t yet live with his fiancée, was in the early marriage stage, where he needed to secure a trade to support the bride and the wedding feast once he returned looking for her.
Mary discovers that she has a divine mission in this world which would seem nonsensical if shared, but she needs to cope also with changes in her physical appearance while trusting the Angel to whom she is the only witness.
Jesus has much to say, but not just yet; the heavens will proclaim his presence while he will remain the silent “baby savior.”
On this “2022 Advent Journey”, join us at St. James for four Wednesdays at 9am in the church to discover the nuances of fortitude, faith, and trust in God’s promises.
