“Filled with the Holy Spirit – the Song of Zechariah”
Early in Luke’s Gospel, Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist, is moved to declare the glory and plan of God. Expressed as a canticle, Zechariah preaches, “Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel…” and continues for 11 verses. (Luke 1:68-79) This deeply moving, hope-filled passage will be the topic of Deacon Peter’s evening of reflection on June 29, 2016 at 7 PM in the St. James Parish Hall. He will also have available for purchase his new book, The Dawn From On High, the title of which comes from this canticle. Refreshments and a cash bar will be provided. All proceeds, including a portion of each book’s purchase price, will be donated to St. James Adult Faith Formation. Come join us for an evening of spirit, grace, and smiles.
