A Note from the Pastor: Are you called to help?
Friday, January 18, marks the beginning of the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.
In a time when the sad divisions that separate the Christian churches seem even stronger, our parish is not planning an ecumenical event. See what a liturgy committee could do: prepare an ecumenical evening of prayer, inviting an area minister to preside and/or preach. Letters of invitation could be sent to the leaders of all Christian communities within our wider community. Perhaps a planning team could be established, made up of persons from participating churches. I have a series of good ideas but unfortunately no volunteers! Is this something that is close to your heart?
